We get so much stick online for being ‘silly’ or ‘too old,’ as if joy has an expiry date. But the truth is, we make these silly videos because they make us happy—they remind us that laughter is still ours to hold onto.
We’re 70 years old. We’ve lived through decades of change, loss, and challenges, and yet, people think we should stop having fun. Why? Because of our age? Because we dare to still smile, to still play, to still find happiness in the small things?
It hurts more than we let on sometimes. To be told you’re “too old” to enjoy yourself, as if you should just fade quietly into the background. But we won’t. Because laughter keeps us going. Because happiness doesn’t belong to the young—it belongs to everyone, for as long as we’re lucky enough to be here.
